Baked Goods : Kulich

Each country, community, and family has its own special traditions for celebrating Easter, along with its own unique baked goods. Easter is the most important and significant holiday for all Christians. In Slovenia, one traditional holiday dish prepared for this special day is Easter cake, known as Kulich. Kulich is a tall, rounded bread topped with white icing and decorations. It is rich and flavorful, filled with raisins and candied fruits. While there are many stories about the history of Easter cake, they all share a common theme – it is a symbol of the joyous holiday. Happy Easter!
